Mark and Lanae Pearson have been involved in purebred dogs for over 17 years. We have successfully shown dogs and bred dogs, but consider our dogs to just be part of our family. We first became interested in the American Bulldog while showing at the American Rare Breed Association (ARBA) shows. In 1996 our good friend Dave Douthit of Browns Creek American Bulldogs asked us to show his girl Douthits Norma Jean, a Gold Medal Weight Pull Champion, and we fell in love with her. We were able to get a puppy from her first litter, the litter that also produced Lem Millers OFA Excellent Joshuas Sheba. Our new puppy, Cloe, was such a joy. She was easy to train, excelled in the show ring, and even helped my daughter to win Best in Show Junior Handler. Dave Douthits Norma also produced our boy, Harley, who also excelled in the show ring, even more than his sister! We were hooked. We love the American Bulldog and have spent the last 9 years enjoying them. We have selectively bred litters over the years and have produced some outstanding dogs that have excelled in the show ring, and are great family companions.

Our main focus when breeding our dogs is to breed for excellent, stable temperaments, correct conformation and healthy, sound dogs. Some people breed for head type, some breed for drive, some breed for color, we breed our American Bulldogs with the goal of producing great family companions that can go into the show ring, compete in weight pulls, be trained in obedience, or just hang out at home with the family. We look at it as a whole package and selectively breed our dogs based on these standards.

We believe that in order to know what you have, you have to spend time with them. Our dogs are family dogs, while also excelling in the show ring. They play with our kids and protect our home.

Our puppies are nearly smothered with love and attention. They are whelped in our home and socialized and played with daily. We observe our puppies from the minute they are born, critiqueing their temperaments, personalities, health and conformation. We have all of our puppies vet checked and feed them premium quality all natural holistic foods.

We only breed dogs that we believe have stable, outgoing temperaments, have correct conformation, do not have genetic defects, have been x-rayed clear of Hip Dysplasia, are not overly aggressive and are a great representation of the American Bulldog breed.

We feed and recommend feeding your American Bulldog a premium quality food. Some that we have found to be of excellent quality are Solid Gold, Innova, Wellness, California Natural.
